Siphonic Drainage

Siphonic Rainwater

Siphonic rainwater systems work by collecting the water from the roof of your industrial or commercial property. We install the Terrain Hydromax™ system, which uses powerful hydraulic force to suck the water from the roof resulting in better flow rates than a gravity-based system.

HOW DO TRADITIONAL RAINWATER SYSTEMS WORK?

Traditional gravity systems drain using pipes that collect the water as it runs off the roof. They’re very inefficient because the space in the pipes is taken up not just by water, but also by air. Extensive Large bore downpipes are needed to ensure that all of the water is taken from the roof, and extensive underground pipework systems are required to connect to the down pipes for the removal of the top water.

HOW IS A SIPHONIC RAINWATER SYSTEM DIFFERENT?

The Terrain Hydromax™ system prevents the ingress of air, transporting water in fewer pipes that have smaller diameters than those needed within a gravity-based system. The syphonic rainwater system is not only more efficient, but more convenient as it’s smaller and easier to install in a wider variety of spaces.

In addition to all of its other benefits, the siphonic rainwater system drains rapidly when rainfall ceases and is even self-cleaning; its design also prevents blockages from leaves, twigs and other debris. The siphonic system has fewer downpipes than a traditional system with the consequent saving of expensive underground pipework systems.
