Moor Park High School and Sixth Form
Let down at short notice by a contractor who was unable to attend a fault, the school was subsequently faced with an acute problem requiring urgent attention.
An air conditioning unit supplying the school IT server room had failed and heat generated by the computer equipment within the room could not be controlled; there was a serious risk of server failure which could shutdown the schools IT systems. We were happy to respond immediately when the school contacted us with a view to resolving the problem.

The existing aircon system
Testing the existing unit proved it to be beyond repair, so our office team worked to identify and source a suitable replacement split air conditioning system.
The new replacement system
Within 24hrs of the replacement unit being ordered, we attended site to resolve the problem.
– ensuring that refrigerant was safely removed from the failed system
– swapping the old to new indoor and outdoor units
– charging the new system and and completing thorough checks
– testing to prove that the IT room temperature was being maintained

Results

The school were very happy with our our response, and in particular:

– the works were completed within 24hrs of receiving their order
– old units were removed and sent for recycling
– there was no loss of IT services throughout the school

I Have had several dealings with Horsfield Building Services during my time here at Moor Park high school and sixth form and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed

This was a great result in a very tight time scale.
