World Horse Welfare

Following our success in competitive tender, we were awarded the contract to complete all HVAC works involved in the building of a new extension to the existing centre buildings at Penny Farm.




Our works began with the decommissioning of x5 (split) air conditioning systems along with all heating and plumbing in the existing building. We then moved onto first-fix of a new boiler room which would house the boiler, HWS cylinder, and associated controls. As building works progressed we completed second-fix of the boiler room and new radiators within the existing building, along with first-fix of heating and plumbing in the new extension. Second-fix of the new extension, along with testing and commissioning of all systems resulted in another project completed on-time and in budget.

	Boiler Room A new boiler room created in what was previously excess space within one of the toilets was fitted out with boiler, hot water cylinder and pressurisation set. The hot water supply pump has an integral time control to switch the pump off during times when the building is unoccupied, resulting in further energy savings.
	Plumbing works Pipework modifications to install TMV’s (thermostatic mixing valves) to all wash basins, including the accessible toilet where all fittings were removed to allow a complete redecoration of the facility. The kitchen was first-fixed with hot and cold plumbing in readiness for new equipment to be installed.
	New extension Newly installed radiators blend in well with the with the building finish and overall aesthetics.

A day out at Penny Farm Penny Farm is located near to Blackpool and is a great day out for all the family. They are open all year (on Wednesdays, Bank Holidays and weekends) and have a packed programme of events during school holidays.
